If you haven't already got one, we really recommend picking up a spring bar tool. These nifty little tools are super handy if you enjoy switching up your watch strap every now and then, and they work like a charm with all sorts of straps, from metal bracelets to leather straps. You may want to add our Stainless Steel Spring Bar Tool to your order.
How do you use one of these? follow the below steps..

1. Using a Spring Bar Tool to Remove a Watch Bracelet:
  • Step 1: Locate the Notched Openings First, identify the notched openings where the bracelet attaches to your watch. These openings allow you to see part of the spring bar. Afterward, consider placing the watch on a clean, cushioned surface upside down.

  • Step 2: Insert the Slimmer Forked Tip Take the slimmer forked tip of your spring bar tool and insert it into the outer side of the groove positioned in front of the raised ring encircling the spring bar's end (1). Apply gentle inward pressure (2) towards the center of the watch until the spring bar disengages from the lug.

  • Step 3: Pull the Bracelet Away While keeping the inward pressure, simultaneously pull the bracelet away from the watch (3).

  • Step 4: Maintain Pressure and Repeat Maintain the pressure (4) and the pulling action as you repeat the same (1) & (2) on the other side of the bracelet. This will allow you to fully remove the bracelet from the watch.

Without (3) & (4), the spring bar may disengage momentarily but might re-engage as soon as the bracelet is released.
It's essential to maintain patience and handle your watch gently during this process to prevent any accidental scratches.

These steps will help you safely and effectively remove the bracelet from your watch using the notched openings and a spring bar too

2. Using a Spring Bar Tool to Remove a Rubber or Leather strap:
  • Step 1: Position the Tool spring bar tool with the wider fork-end just so that it slots between the end of the strap and the inside of the lug

  • Step 2 Apply pressure and gently push the tool inward while simultaneously pulling the strap away from the lug. This action compresses the spring bar and releases it from the lug.

  • Step 3 Remove the Strap, for leather and rubber straps, there is no need to repeat this process on the other end, once one of the side is removed, the other side will come off as well.

Once you have managed to remove the bracelet, rubber or leather strap from your watch, you can put it on a House of Noori leather strap easily, as all our straps come with a quick release spring bar system.

3. Using a Spring Bar Tool to Replace a Tang Buckle (with drilled holes):
  • Step 1 Swap out the thinner fork attachment for the pin attachment

  • Step 2 Use the pin to press through the drilled holes of the buckle, while concurrently applying downward pressure with your thumb onto the strap. This action will cause the spring bar to detach from the buckle.

  • Step 3 On the replacement buckle repeat the step 2

  • Step 4 Position the buckle's tongue into the groove on the strap and then thread the spring bar through.

  • Step 5 Place the buckle onto one end of the spring bar tool, then use the thin fork end attachment of the spring bar tool to gently press and slide it securely into the drilled hole on the buckle.

All the steps outlined in this guide were carried out using our Stainless Steel Spring Bar Tool, which includes an extra set of pins.
